Authentic Health proudly serves our patients under a direct primary care (DPC) model. In a DPC model, the doctor works directly with you and not your insurance company to deliver the care you need to stay healthy and happy. We do not bill your insurance for office visits but rather operate under a low-cost monthly membership fee. This means primary care that is hassle-free, convenient, and affordable. Benefits of a DPC practice include longer appointments to thoroughly review and discuss any medical concerns, easier same-day/next-day scheduling, and open communication through email/text to get your needs met as quickly as possible. This type of model also gives us the freedom to practice in a more holistic and patient-focused way, incorporating lifestyle strategies and supplemental options for health and wellbeing.
Most patients in our practice still carry insurance along with their DPC plan, as insurance is great for hospital stays, lab work, imaging, expensive medications, and specialist visits. Since DPC does not constitute health insurance, we do recommend that our patients retain some form of insurance for catastrophic coverage.
